Atlético achieves a championship win

Atlético took three gold points in Granada. It achieved a championship win after its last draw and sends a message to its pursuers: it is not going to get caught just like that, despite being a team depleted by casualties right now. Luis Suárez did not mark this time, but Marcos Llorente and Correa did, with the help of Vallejo. The rojiblancos are now putting pressure on those coming from behind.

The rojiblancos made a serious first half, well planted, with control of the ball, sending … Kondogbia, playing as the axis of the team, became owner of the ball, helped by Koke. Carrasco changed his position, first acting as a left-handed inside and later as a right-winger. An Atlético wanting to have the ball and do damage, although it could not be neglected, since Granada was ready to pressure, to bite up. The Andalusian team fell back when they needed to, but when they saw that they could go up, they did so without hesitation. Correa was able to score, in a beautiful team move, and shortly after Luis Suárez. Atlético began dominating, creating doubts in their rival, but little by little Granada was better accommodating on the field. He joined lines and although the ball continued to be for Atlético, the locals did feel better.

The rojiblanco team found in this game a good footballer to fall to the band and give the last pass. Luis Suárez moved very well between the defense of three central Granada and on several occasions enabled his teammates, although in the end he did not find the prize. Within half an hour he was close to scoring a goal and until now that facet had been unknown in the Uruguayan, used to being the finisher. But Suárez is very connected, with a lot of desire and it shows in his presence on the pitch. For the Cholo team it is very positive to have him like this. The game ended with a tie at halftime, something fair. At times Atlético was superior, although Granada did not go through real difficulties. Eteki and Montoro were protecting their team better and the bands Kenedy and Machís always gave a feeling of danger.

The second half had an important variation for the rojiblanco team. Kondogbia was left out and Vsaljko entered on the right wing, allowing Marcos Llorente to advance his position. Atlético widened the field, with Carrasco on the left and Llorente on the right. They are not just any two players. The Madrid team scored after game time on a good pitch from Llorente. He finished off with his left foot down, glued to the stick. Also there you can see the trust and faith that the Madrilenian has in his actions.

But the Cholo guys threw that good work overboard a few minutes later. The rojiblanco coach had already warned in the previous one that the team must recover its defensive level if it wants to aspire to the maximum, because defense is what has led Atlético to achieve success. A short time ago the gift of the tying goal in a set piece would have been unthinkable. But the doubts at the time of clearing the ball led to Herrera's goal.

With more than twenty minutes to go, the game opened, Atlético with the ball, Granada against it. Nice, attractive shock, each with their weapons. The local team began to move the bench and Atlético continued to attack. He found the goal in a fortunate action, with a shot from Correa who hit Vallejo and slipped. It is what Correa has, who always tries, looks for him, fights him …

The crash once again offered a new face, now with Granada determined to go up in search of a tie. But Atlético was the same as always, impregnable from above, supportive, together … The rojiblancos suffered like so many other times to win a championship win.
