Anthony Blake predicts the end of the Christmas Lottery Jackpot: 2.59 billion at stake

Anthony Blake predicted this Thursday the completion of El Gordo de Navidad, which he already got right in 2002. The mentalist revealed the completion of the winning number of the Christmas lottery, which will distribute 2.59 billion euros this Friday.

At 67 José Luis González Panizo (real name of the mentalist) can boast of being one of the best-known fortune tellers thanks to his talent as showman since he appears in different television programs, although not with the frequency that he visited them 30 years ago, when he was a true star of the prime time

The man from Oviedo, a specialist in predictions, was however not able to anticipate that he was going to leave his medical career when he enrolled in college to become a doctor. But he left university to dedicate himself to seeing the minds of others and anticipating the future.

The exact number: starts with zero and ends in four

But, joking aside, the Asturian was able to predict the final digits of the winning number of the Christmas Lottery that is celebrated on December 22. 21 years ago he found the final numbers of El Gordo.

Will he be able to achieve it with the 2023 draw? On this occasion, five more series have been marketed than last year: 185 out of 100,000 issues with which 2,590 million euros will be distributed in prizes, 70 million more than last year. Having a tenth of El Gordo on December 22 means taking four hundred thousand euros. Before taxes, of course…

Anthony Blake connected this Friday with Antena 3 to reveal the final number of the winner, as he tried to do in 2015 and achieved 21 years ago. Back in 2002 he guessed the figure that made the lucky ones millionaires. “I'm ten percent right,” he joked.

Last year he got the exact number of 'El Gordo' right: 8,103, which, six days later, the emblematic children of San Ildefonso sang. The mentalist wrote down the figure on a piece of paper which he then placed in a box. But he did not open the contents until the Lottery was held.

Social networks poured out accusations that he had cheated and massively pointed out that the trick was an unacceptable scandal. But this Thursday he explained it: “I am a magician, and I am capable of creating illusions,” he said. “Eight is my favorite number and, divided by two, because shared life is wonderful, so four,” said Anthony Blake, who took out a sheet of paper on which the number four was reflected. Days ago he predicted the full number and also ended in four. He did it on a TV3 program: 09,754. Another thing is that it is fulfilled.
