MADRID, 28 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Striker Ander Barrenetxea has renewed with Real Sociedad until the end of the 2029-30 season, the Basque club confirmed this Sunday, so he will continue for at least six more seasons as 'txuri urdin'.

The man from San Sebastian, accompanied by the president of the entity, Jokin Aperribay, signed his new contract this Sunday. “I am very happy. I renew with my home club, with the team I want to play for. I am grateful for what Real has given me throughout my life, and now even more,” he said.

“They already warned me that the most difficult thing is not to get to the First Division, but to stay. This renewal gives me the security of staying in the first team for another three more years. My four seasons at Real have been a dream, we have achieved a lot things, and if I stay it is because Real has a great project for the future. We hope to continue achieving qualifications for Europe and some more titles,” he added.

Barrenetxea, 22, trained in the youth ranks of Real Sociedad and made his debut with the first team in official competition in December 2018. In total, he has played 137 games with the 'txuri urdin' shirt and has scored 16 goals, in addition to winning the 2020 Copa del Rey.
