Amanda Sampedro signs for Sevilla after 20 seasons at Atlético de Madrid

BARCELONA, 6 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Madrid midfielder Amanda Sampedro has become this Wednesday a new Sevilla FC player for the next two seasons from Atlético de Madrid, a club in which she became a ‘mattress’ emblem by playing for 20 years.

“The midfielder from Madrid, who turned 29 years old in recent days, arrives from an Atlético de Madrid in which she has remained for no more and no less than 20 seasons to now stamp her signature for at least the next two seasons in the entity of Nervión”, reported Sevilla in a statement.

Amanda Sampedro became a standard bearer for Atlético de Madrid to the point of appearing on the Paseo de las Leyendas del Metropolitano. The Nervionense managed to lift five titles always wearing the captain’s armband: the Queen’s Cup for the 2015-2016 season, three consecutive leagues (2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19), and a Spanish Super Cup in 2021.

In addition, the footballer has several participations in the continental competition to her credit, being a participant in the ‘Champions’ for up to five seasons. In his last season, Sampedro played 35 games.

“A soccer player of substance appears in Nervión to contribute to that leap in quality that the entity is looking for with the first women’s team,” the club sentenced.
