Almería and Eibar, more accustomed to direct promotion

The results of the last day in the silver category leave the direct ascent more open than ever with just seven weeks left in the competition, with Eibar, Almería and Valladolid just two points behind. Next Saturday (6:15 p.m.) Almería and Valladolid will meet in a match that could end up being decisive, although Rubi’s men would continue to depend on themselves even losing by a goal difference if Eibar does not win tomorrow (9:00 p.m.) against Las Palmas when those of Garitano and those of Pacheta were measured on the weekend of May 8. Despite the fact that the classification that is valid is that of matchday 42, during this course the people of Eibar and Almeria have lived longer in the direct promotion zone.

Specific, the UDA has been in direct promotion positions for 30 days: 16 as leader and 14 as second. Before this season, the Indál team stepped on promotion positions up to 87 times. Counting the thirty of this course, the total is 117 out of 657 days in its entire history, which gives 17.8% of dates on the rise. However, the fact of the leadership stands out, since previously it had only been the leader of the championship six times in its entire history. Among the top five throughout the course, since the sixth day he has not dropped from third place, having stepped on the promotion positions for just half a dozen days.

Eibar, for its part, has been 22 dates in direct promotion, a dozen of them (the last twelve), as leader of the championship. Those of Garitano have lived eight days in a promotion that they hope never to step on again, Valladolid being more used to it. In this sense, those from Pacheta have occupied elimination positions up to 22 days, for just four of direct promotion (days 3, 23, 25 and 34). Every time the people from Valladolid have been in second position, they have lost it the following day. It happened with 3-0 in Burgos, 0-0 in Zaragoza, 0-0 in Fuenlabrada and recently with 2-2 in Malaga.
