The Spanish power forward Santi Aldama started in the victory (106-111) of the Memphis Grizzlies over the Portland Trail Blazers, with an outstanding performance with 11 points and 7 rebounds, while the Houston Rockets national player, Usman Garuba, equaled his best score this season with 6 units, in the loss (101-109) against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 21-year-old Aldama from the Canary Islands continues to grow in a competitive Grizzlies led by Desmond Bane (29 points) and Ja Morant (20). The Spanish player added 11 points, with two triples and 50 percent shooting from 2 in 29 minutes on the court. This is allowing him at this start of the season to touch the 10 average points and exceed 6 rebounds per game on average.
The Blazers, without their star Damian Lillard, stood up to the Grizzlies who had to sweat and work to get back on track after losing two games. Anfernee Simons (31 points, 3 assists and 8 assists) was the best in Portland, which, despite the loss, is second in the West. While the Spanish Juancho Hernangómez contributed 1 rebound and 1 assist in 8 minutes on the court with the Raptors, who decisively beat the Spurs (100-143), with a great performance by Pascal Siakam and his ‘triple-double’ ( 22 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists).
