MADRID, 14 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Plaza Cervantes in the Madrid town of Alcalá de Henares will host this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the Plaza 3×3 CaixaBank 2022, where 224 players will meet in 56 teams from all categories.
The day will start at approximately 9:30 a.m. and will last until mid-afternoon, when after the dispute over the competitions, the award ceremony will be held for the winners. The competition will be combined with contests, on a day in which the former international player Fernando Romay will act as FEB Ambassador. The day will be spread over multiple tracks, among which the CaixaBank Track will stand out, where the men’s finals will be played, and the Universe Women’s Track, which will host the women’s finals.
The event has the support of the Alcalá de Henares City Council and the collaboration of the Madrid Basketball Federation, as well as the participation of a team of volunteers attached to the FEB-CaixaBank Volunteer Program.
Prior to its arrival in Alcalá, the circuit has passed through Melilla, Madrid, Málaga, Palma, Pamplona, A Coruña, Santander and Barcelona.
The FEB launched the Plaza 3×3 program in 2012, from its first edition by CaixaBank. Since its inception, the circuit has already exceeded 101 stops, 45,000 participants and 225,000 visitors, all in a total of 42 cities throughout Spain.
