The Spanish forward Alba Torrens warned that the strength of the Spanish team is “the team and it has to continue to be that way” in the next two qualifying matches for the Eurobasket, against Iceland and Hungary, two “tough and very important challenges”.
“They are two key games, we have the objective of being in the Eurobasket, but we know that we will not be able to be there without achieving what we want to achieve, two victories”, analyzed the veteran player in statements shared by the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) in social networks.
The European champion in 2013 and 2017 with the Spanish team warned that “these windows are never easy”, although she highlighted the “good dynamics” in which the national team arrives. “These are two tough and very important challenges”, she expressed about the duels against Iceland, this Thursday, and Hungary, this Sunday.
“Our strength is the team, there is no leader, there are many. Each game is different, it is our strength and it has to continue to be so,” he commented on the greatest strength of the team.
The Valencia Basket player also valued her new role in the team, playing a key role for the youngest. “You try to add, after so many years you add in different ways, try to give the best of yourself, you wonder how I can help and what the team needs,” she concluded.
