Paulista will complete a hundred league games with the Valencian shirt if he plays this Sunday in the match that his team faces against him Deportivo Alavés in Mendizorroza.
The center-back, born in Sao Paulo (Brazil) and who will turn 30 next week, currently accumulates 99 games in which he has achieved a balance of 43 victories, twenty-nine draws and twenty-seven defeats and in which he has scored two goals.
Paulista, who is waiting to obtain Spanish nationality, made his debut for Valencia in the 2017-2018 season, in a match against Atlético de Madrid (0-0) at Mestalla, on the third day of the championship.
Since then his presence in the eleven of the Valencian team has been a constant as evidenced by the fact that 96 of those 99 games have been played as a starter and only in five of them was he substituted.
In this time he has scored two goals, both this year, but in different seasons. He made his debut in the scoring facet last season against Atlético de Madrid (2-2) and repeated in the debut of this championship in the victory against Levante (4-2).
