The Spanish Aliona Bolsava (107th in the WTA ranking) lost 4-6, 6-1 and 7-6 (4) this Wednesday against Russian Anna Blinkova, number 65, and said goodbye to the tournament in Rome in the second round.
Bolsava had passed two qualifying rounds and had surprised this Monday by beating the American Alison Riske in her first main draw match, but a tense final tiebreaker was fatal for her this Wednesday in pitch 1 of Foro Italico.

Montenegrin Danka Kovinic, who entered the main draw after going through qualifying qualifying This Wednesday embittered the return to competition of the Swiss Belinda Bencic, sixth favorite, in the second round of the Rome tournament, by beating it by a hard 6-3 and 6-1.
After his last participation in the Doha tournament, in February, Belinda Bencic returned after the pandemic with a negative performance and surrendered in 72 minutes against Kovinic, player number 86 in the WTA ranking.
The 23-year-old Swiss tennis player paid the only break in the first set, arriving in the eighth game, and lost 6-3, toBefore delivering his serve three times in the second round and saying goodbye to Rome with a tough 6-1, in just over half an hour.
In the round of 16, Kovinic will face the Belgian Elise Mertens (n.20), who got rid this Wednesday of the Polish Magda Linette (n.35) by winning 6-2 and 6-4.
