He Villanovense has suspended the preseason game this afternoon against the CD Guijuelo due to the positive for COVID-19 of a player of the serona squad.
In a statement, the club explains that said player was not with the rest of the group, strictly following the established protocols, waiting for the result of the PCR test, which has finally been positive.
The player you are in good health, being asymptomatic, but will have to follow the isolation period in quarantine.
Although the player was isolated as a precaution last Tuesday, and given that “the protocol would allow the dispute of the match”, the club considers that it should be “an example of responsibility and put the health of all of us and the visiting team first.”
“It is for this reason that the preseason game scheduled for this afternoon against Guijuelo is suspended,” says the native of Illan, who will carry out the steps indicated by the health authorities and will inform them of the news that may arise.
