Two priests, African rhythms and a very special surprise

The widow of Pedro Carrasco and the Nigerian businessman have said “I do.” After ten years of relationship and a child together, Raquel Mosquera e Isi They sealed their engagement in a religious ceremony attended by the Madrid native’s family and several members of the groom’s family, his sister and some cousins. The event took place last Saturday in a charming church in Las Rozas, Madrid, and was attended by two priests, who declared the bride and groom ‘husband and wife’, and two choirs who enlivened the celebration.

According to the magazine Ten minuteswhich carried the wedding on its cover this Wednesday, said the party was a mix of cultures and customs, with Spanish and Nigerian touches both in the menu of the banquet that the guests enjoyed and in the music they danced to afterwards: from African rhythms to Marc Anthony or Pimpinela. They also add that Raquel Mosquera’s two children, Raquel (the fruit of her relationship with Tony Anipke) and Romeo (whose father is Isi) had a very special role in the ceremony and surprised the bride and groom with a nice detail.

The bride was radiant in a white dress with a mermaid-style skirt and fitted brocade bodice. Raquel opted for a very elegant long sleeve and a plunging, sheer neckline. She completed her bridal outfit with a half-updo, cascading diamond earrings and a beautiful bouquet of white and fuchsia roses. The groom, for his part, chose a sophisticated silver suit and a glitter waistcoat to match the knot on his tie.

This is the third wedding for Raquel Mosquera, who married for the first time in 1996 to Pedro Carrasco in Huelva. In 2005, she married Tony Anikpe in a civil ceremony, the father of her first daughter, Raquelita. In 2014, she met Isi and became a mother for the second time to a son, Romeo. Time has strengthened their bond and the couple wanted to formalise their commitment but, above all, celebrate their love surrounded by their loved ones.

The proposal took place in January 2023 and Raquel herself announced it through social media: “I’m here and since God has given us life, I want us to get married and look for a date to get married… so that no one else gets close. I’m very happy with you,” said the groom, kneeling on the ground. Raquel’s response was immediate: “Of course I accept and this time it’s the charm. I love you.”
