The Queen wears a second-hand urban design from Hojae

Letizia has thrown herself into second-hand clothing. An eco-friendly and sustainable gesture that complies with the three Rs: reduce, recycle and reuse. Even more so in a sector like textiles, which generates excessive consumption of water and dyes in its production process. The Queen has rented a dress on the Lend The Label platform and has worn it for the first time at the events prior to the Princess of Girona Awards. It is published by The confidential.

This is a pearl grey midi dress from Hojae. A sleeveless design with a round neckline and a bodice that hugs the waist. The unstructured pattern gives it a minimal and urban look, in contrast to the flared skirt with a large asymmetrical flounce. A brand new second-hand look that is available on the Lend The Label platform and can be rented for 110 euros (previously 600).

This is a Spanish company based in Madrid, where users can rent their designs on their website. The menu ranges from wedding guest dresses, graduation dresses, party dresses, long dresses and godmother dresses.

Queen Letizia launched the circular economy in her dressing room in October last year, for Leonor’s 18th birthday when the heiress swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. At this event, Sofia wore a romantic second-hand Erdem dress that was rented on the online platform Borow, which also has a store in Madrid.
