MADRID, 19 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The British McLaren driver, Lando Norris, took the first Sprint pole of the season this Friday in the rain of Shanghai with Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) in second place and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) in third position , while Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) will start this Saturday’s sprint race from fifth place.
Lando Norris, with suspense, has managed to take pole position for the Chinese GP sprint and will start first in the first sprint race of the year after setting a time of 1.57.940. Accompanying him on the front line will be his compatriot Lewis Hamilton who, very fast throughout Q3 in rainy conditions, finished 1,261 seconds behind Norris.
The positive note of the Spanish day was given by Fernando Alonso, who achieved his best position in a classification of the season with a creditable third place, 1.975 seconds behind Norris. Starting alongside the Spaniard will be the World Championship leader, Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who in wet conditions could only place his Red Bull in fourth place.
One place further back, leading the third row, is Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), who achieved the fifth fastest time at 2.274 seconds, and will once again start ahead of his teammate, Charles Leclerc (seventh).
