The Spanish Dakar Rally driver Carles Falcón arrived in Spain this Friday by medical plane and in “critical condition” from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), after the serious fall he suffered last Sunday in the second stage.

“This Friday Carles was transferred by medical plane to Spain. He is admitted to the ICU and remains in critical condition. The doctors are going to carry out new tests according to the protocol. His family and friends appreciate all the messages of support received,” says the last part of his team, TwinTrail Racing.

The amateur driver from Tarragona was competing for the second time in the toughest rally in the world when in the second stage between Al Henakiyah and Al Duwadimi he suffered a fall and a strong blow that caused a stroke and several fractures, including the most worrying , in the C2 vertebra.
