Shakira gives the final blow to Piqué at the Latin Grammys: her revenge song, the best of 2023

The Colombian artist won the Latin Grammy for Best Pop Song this Thursday thanks to her song ‘Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53’, which was a devastating blow against Pique y Clara Chía. A global recognition that he has collected from his children, Milan and Sashawho looked enthralled at their mother from the Sevillian stalls.

Shakira went on stage with Bizarrap, who gave all the credit to her partner: “Shaki was able to express what she felt and that is what matters most,” she said. She, for her part, has sent a message of gratitude to all that audience that has accompanied her in these last difficult months: “I want to share this Grammy with my colleagues, great talents, and I would also like to share it with my Latin audience that has led me to towering peaks of those places that I dreamed of since I was a little girl.

In addition, Shakira also wanted to thank the Spanish public for their support: “They have been there accompanying me through thick and thin, and they have not stopped giving me support and affection for a single day, I will not forget that.”

The song of revenge

“Sorry, I already took another plane. I’m not coming back here, I don’t want another disappointment. So much so that you act like a champion, and when I needed you you gave your worst version. A wolf like me is not for rookies. A wolf like me is not for ‘Guys like you. I’m too big for you, that’s why you’re with someone just like you,” the Colombian sang.

Session 53, with its word games and ax blows against the former Catalan footballer, became ‘The song of revenge’ par excellence and went around the world. In a few hours he broke records on all platforms: “This is so that I mortify you, chew and swallow, swallow and chew. I will no longer return to you even if you cry or beg me. I understood that it is not my fault that they criticize you. I I only make music, sorry if it splashes you.”

Not only that: he also referred to Clara Chía (“She has the name of a good person, it’s clearly not what it sounds like”) and to Piqué’s mother (“You left my mother-in-law as a neighbor, with the press at the door and the debt in the Treasury”).
