The Queen’s Cup draws its third round pairings

The Copa de la Reina 2023-2024 has drawn lots this Wednesday for its third round pairings, with the duels between League F teams Eibar-Levante Las Planas and Granada-Athletic Club being the most notable, in a draw carried out in the Las Rozas Football City, in Madrid.

Thus, the draw for the third round of the KO tournament included eight teams from the F League, five from the First RFEF and three from the Second RFEF. The matches of this third round will be played on November 7, 8 and 9, in a single-match round, with the lower category team at home last season.

In this way, Real Unión de Tenerife, from the Second RFEF, will host Sporting de Huelva, Cup champion in 2015. Also in the third category of Spanish women’s football, CD Juan Grande will face the visit of Valencia Féminas; and Real Oviedo, Alhama (First RFEF), semi-finalist last year in the tournament.

As for Primera RFEF teams, CD Alba Fundación Albacete Femenino and CDF Osasuna Femenino will host the ‘Primeras’ Villarreal CF and Real Betis Balompié, respectively. Finally, the draw led to a match between teams from the same category, Cacereño Femenino-Deportivo Alavés, both from the Second Division; and Eibar-Levante Las Planas and Granada-Athletic Club, First Division.
