LaLiga has renewed its official application with a “technological evolution” focused on content and artificial intelligence, consolidating itself “as a leader in digital strategy worldwide” thanks to its “more than 200 million followers on social networks”, according to indicated this Friday the entity chaired by Javier Tebas.
The press release stressed that the app has seen its use supported with more than 30 million historical downloads and 16 million active users, and that now with this news it seeks to increase numbers and improve “the way of consuming” First Division football and Second Division.
With the content update, each person will have different experiences depending on when they use the app. The novelties at a visual and structural level, as well as functionalities, have been the objectives of LaLiga to become “more experiential” and be “more focused on the young generations”.
In this sense, starting this 2023/24 season, it will offer vertical videos in the style of Instagram and TikTok, developed thanks to the artificial intelligence of the WSC Sports brand. The contents are shared with players, clubs and broadcasters for their analysis and amplification of the matches, and will be available during the matches in the Near Live clips, allowing them to be shared via networks.
Another novelty is the personalization of the experience, since users will be able to adapt the app according to their favorite club. In addition, the statistics will be more precise through the Beyond Stats signature, which in the words of LaLiga “will offer the user a more complete vision of the game.”
