Barcelona City Council approves the first phase of the works license for the Spotify Camp Nou

BARCELONA, 8 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Government Commission of the Barcelona City Council has approved the first phase of the license for major works corresponding to the reform and expansion of the Spotify Camp Nou.

The permit includes the tasks related to the movement of earth, retaining walls and perimeter screens and foundations for the construction of the basin that is developed on the floors below ground level with a view to the subsequent execution of the main work.

In addition to this license to work underground, the club also has the permits to demolish the entire third tier of the Stadium and can now carry out the works in these two areas.

Barça and the City Council continue to advance technically in the works license for the remodeling of the stadium as a whole, and the shared will is to finish the license and approve it “as soon as possible”.

This will be the third and last license necessary for the reform, and will include the modifications that Barça presented and incorporated into the Stadium remodeling license granted by the City Council in April 2022, the result of the joint work carried out by the municipal technicians and the team from the ‘Espai Barça’ club.
