MADRID, 29 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Valencia Basket and Casademont Zaragoza will meet this Sunday in the final of the Endesa Women’s Super Cup after beating Hozono Global Jairis (75-61) and Perfumerías Avenida (69-65) in the semifinals on Saturday.
In Alcantarilla (Murcia), the ‘taronja’ team, winner of three national titles last year, had to sweat to prevent the host from scoring. Hozono Global Jairis was able to dream thanks to a perfect first half, but Valencia Basket began to score from the outside with a 24-5 lead in the third quarter.
The rain of triples was a direct blow from the champion to Fausto Vicent, who saw Valencia go to defend the title. Basket Zaragoza will also be in the final, having won a classic from the last five years against the Salamanca team.
The ticket was in the air until a tight outcome, where the inside game of Markeisha Gatling (11 points and 7 rebounds) tipped the balance for the tricks, in search of their first Super Cup. Nine, the record, has a Perfumerías that hopes to regain ground this season in the national showcase, although it did not achieve it with the first title at stake.
