Real Madrid was proclaimed champion of the Vicente del Bosque ‘Villa de Alalpardo’ Cadet Football Tournament in its women’s edition, after beating Madrid CFF (0-2), and in the men’s category, after winning the penalty shootout (5- 4) to Atlético de Madrid, according to a statement.
In the men’s final, Real Madrid and Atlético met after beating Getafe and Fuenlabrada in the semifinals, respectively. In an exciting match, the meringues finally prevailed in the penalty shootout (5-4) and managed to lift the trophy in the seventh men’s edition of the tournament.
The coach of the rojiblanco cadet Borja Resurrección took the ‘Best Coach’ award, while the ‘best player’ of the tournament went to Real Madrid player Diego Aguado, with his teammate Hugo Humanes who finished the tournament as ‘pichichi’. At Alalpardo, the ‘sportiest team’, goalkeeper Yaber was named ‘best goalkeeper’.
While the fifth women’s edition of the Vicente del Bosque Alalpardo Tournament enjoyed a hectic final, in which Real Madrid achieved a creditable 0-2 victory, with goals from Erika and Aitana, against a Madrid CFF that also completed a great championship .
