Nike has launched its Pegasus 40 shoe, the latest iteration of the iconic Pegasus innovation, which is a running shoe for the runner’s daily workouts and is designed with time-tested reliability in mind.
This new version has the same great responsiveness and support for the runner’s foot, as well as the arch and toes. The new Nike Pegasus 40 has been designed for every run, whether the goal is long marathon kilometers or a simple daily run.
The Pegasus 40 features a redesigned midfoot band for a more secure, yet forgiving fit tailored to fit arches of all sizes. The redesigned mesh upper provides the same Pegasus fit with even more breathability, unlocking the traditional sandwiched mesh upper by engineering each layer individually.
The result is a more comfortable and adjustable fit. Increased foam around the neck provides a comfortable fit. Internal linings and padding throughout the upper have been redesigned from the Nike Pegasus 39.
A highly form-fitting, single-layer mesh with known and trusted structures and yarns creates a breathable fit. Engineered mesh helps improve airflow in hot, sweaty conditions.
In addition, Nike React technology provides a soft and responsive ride throughout the midsole. The Pegasus 40 includes two Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel, for an energetic sensation on take-off. The result is a smooth heel-to-toe transition with springiness with every step.
The Nike Pegasus 40 will be available on April 13 across the Nike ecosystem, Nike Stores, and other partner stores.
