MADRID, 5 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Paralympic cycling team, after recently debuting in competition at the Extremadura European Paracycling Cup, will hold its second rally of the season in Tarancón (Cuenca) from April 11 to 16 to prepare for the first two World Cup events, which will take place in Maniago and Ostend.

Félix García Casas, national coach, will work in Tarancón with a group made up of nine athletes: Ricardo Ten (C1), Maurice Eckhard (C2), Eduardo Santas (C3), Juan Alberto Jiménez (C4), Gonzalo García Abella (T1) and the tandems made up of Joan Sansó-Francisco Rus and Christian Venge-Noel Martín.

“After the concentration, the Spanish team will face a first block of competitions that will be decisive for qualifying for the next Paralympic Games,” the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) reported in a press release on Wednesday.

The first date of the World Cup, which will be held in Maniago (Italy) from April 20 to 24, will inaugurate the qualifying process for the aforementioned Paris 2024 Games; it will continue only two weeks later, in Ostende (Belgium), with the second test.
