Santi Aldama and Usman Garuba succumb in a day with Serge Ibaka as the only Spanish winner

Devin Booker, with 58 points, knocks down some Pelicans without Willy Hernangómez

MADRID, 18 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish power forward Santi Aldama fell this morning with the Memphis Grizzlies at the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder (115-109), in a day in which Usman Garuba also lost with the Houston Rockets against the Portland Trail Blazers (95-107) and in the one that Serge Ibaka had a few minutes in the solid victory of the Milwaukee Bucks over the Utah Jazz (123-97).

At the Paycom Center, the Tennessee team ended a seven-game winning streak despite forward Dillon Brooks scoring 32 points, neutralized by Luguentz Dort’s 24 points and Isaiah Joe’s 23. Even so, they continue to be leaders of the Western Conference (19-10).

In his almost 17 minutes on the court, Santi Aldama from the Canary Islands scored seven points -1 of 5 from the field and 5 of 5 free throws-, grabbed five rebounds, distributed an assist and put in a block, all coming off the bench.

Meanwhile, power forward Serge Ibaka had 11 minutes in the Bucks’ victory against Utah, who overcame the losses of Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton to continue in second place in the East (21-8). In total, the Spanish-Congolese signed two points -1 of 3 shots from the field- and two rebounds.

For their part, the Rockets, penultimate in the West (9-20), conceded another defeat against Portland, who relied on Anfernee Simons (32) and a ‘double double’ of 25 points and 10 assists from Damian Lillard to prevail. Usman Garuba from La Mancha offered three points, five rebounds, two assists and a ball recovery in his 11 minutes of participation.

In addition, the guard Devin Booker was the great protagonist of the NBA day by scoring 58 points -21 of 35 shots from the field, including 6 of 12 triples, and 10 of 15 from the personal line- in the victory of Phoenix Suns against New Orleans Pelicans (118-114). Those from Louisiana, again without the participation of Willy Hernangómez, conceded their third consecutive defeat, although they remain second in the West (18-11).
