The Mexican César Ramos will direct the semifinal between France and Morocco

The Mexican referee César Ramos will be in charge of directing this Wednesday the second semifinal of the World Cup in Qatar that will face the teams of France, current champion, and Morocco, as confirmed by FIFA on Monday.

Ramos, 38, will whistle his fourth game at this event and the second against the North African team, whom he already refereed in the group stage in their victory against Belgium (2-0). In addition, he has directed the matches between Denmark and Tunisia (0-0), in the first round, and between Portugal and Switzerland (6-1), in the round of 16.

Together with the Mexican, his compatriots Alberto Morín and Miguel Hernández will be attending, and with the Venezuelan Jesús Valenzuela as the fourth referee. In the VOR room, Canadian Drew Fischer will be the VAR referee.
