Javier Aguirre: “We are in good dynamics, but the break will not hurt us”

MADRID, 10 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The RCD Mallorca coach, Javier Aguirre, confessed that he has the team “in good dynamics” and with players in a “very good moment” after beating Atlético de Madrid (1-0) on Wednesday, despite which he pointed out that the break for the World Cup will not do them “bad”.

“I wasn’t nervous. You can’t get upset there, you’re in a fish tank alone, you don’t have the noise and movement up close. Life is below. The goal soon gives more peace of mind. It’s where you can see it best, where you can analyze well, but I don’t like being there,” he said.

The Mexican coach explained his position in the box, after completing a new suspension match, at a press conference in which he assessed his team’s harvest in an adverse calendar, with victories over Valencia, Villarreal and Atlético. “You see the calendar before the break and it wasn’t to get 10 out of 12 points, I didn’t imagine it. We don’t do the math but on paper it wasn’t the best scenario,” he said.

In addition, Aguirre was asked about the break for the World Cup that begins on November 20, in the midst of his team’s streak. “We leave happy. We are in a good dynamic, but there are players caught by pins, the break will not hurt us,” he said.

On the other hand, the coach of the Balearic Islands was asked about the keys to his team. “There are players who are in a very good moment, Rajkovic, Muriqi, a lot of work without the ball, with the ball we have improved. There are fewer and fewer technical errors”, he pointed out, before referring to the victory over Atlético.

“The moments, the moment of the goal is important, it tips the balance and makes us more comfortable and the rival is in a hurry, and Rajkovic’s hand is also the key”, he finished, fearing an injury to Baba and advancing the one with Maffeo .
