Martín de la Puente, champion of the Masters in doubles

After his title at the US Open, the Spaniard lifts the Masters Cup together with the Argentinian Gustavo Rodríguez

MADRID, 5 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Martín de la Puente won, together with the Argentine Gustavo Rodríguez, the Masters Cup held at the Sportcentrum de Rusheuvel, in Oss (The Netherlands), against the local couple formed by Ruben Spaargaren and Tom Egberink.

The Galician, who won his first ‘Grand Slam’ last September in New York along with Frenchman Nicolas Peife, also in doubles, savored glory again this Saturday in his plethoric 2022.

The Spanish-Argentine duo did not give the Dutch, who had prevailed in the duel of the group stage, with a 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour, a chance to proclaim themselves Masters. De la Puente had fallen in the quarterfinals in the individual tournament.
