The documentary ‘My Decision, by Andrés Iniesta’ will premiere on November 1 on Rakuten TV

MADRID, 26 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The documentary ‘My Decision, by Andrés Iniesta’, produced by Rakuten TV and Never Say Never, will arrive exclusively on the digital platform on November 1, a creation that recounts the midfielder’s recovery process, with the threat of retirement, according to a statement.

After the success of ‘Andrés Iniesta-The Unexpected Hero’, Rakuten TV is launching a new unpublished documentary focused on the story of a penalty with the Japanese team Vissel Kobe in the Asian Champions League, after which Iniesta broke down, an injury that made him reconsider their continuity in professional football.

According to the statement, the documentary delves into the soccer player’s recovery process. Iniesta’s fears and concerns stand out, but also his pride in his achievements. “We will meet a methodical, sensible, vulnerable, funny and admired family man throughout Japan,” the note said.

“Almost nobody knows what really happened when I got injured,” Iniesta said in the trailer. “Very few know that I had to make a very important decision. Was it worth continuing to play football or was it time to retire? Was it worth continuing to work in silence, not knowing if I would ever be fully recovered? It was perhaps one of the the most difficult decisions of my career,” he confessed.

In addition to having the story of the former FC Barcelona player, ‘My decision, by Andrés Iniesta’ presents testimonies from his teammates Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and David Villa.

‘My decision, by Andrés Iniesta’ is co-produced by Rakuten TV and Never Say Never in collaboration with La Clé Content. The documentary has been directed by Cibran Isasi, with a script by Marcos López, Raül Llimós and David A. García based on an original idea for Never Say Never. It will be available from November 1 for free on Rakuten TV in 42 European countries.
