80 percent of Real Madrid and Atlético fans would have a beer with a ‘rival’ fan

MADRID, 24 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

80 percent of Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid fans would have a beer with a ‘rival’ fan, according to a study carried out by ‘Mahou’ on the occasion of the derby that measures both teams this Saturday in the Santiago Bernabeu.

Within the framework of this meeting, decisive for the future of LaLiga Santander 2022-2023, the beer brand wanted to analyze how Real Madrid and Atlético enjoyed this clash, seeking to find common ground between them.

Thus, 86 percent of the fans enjoy watching the game accompanied by their family, friends and/or partner, even if they are from the opposing team, and 91 percent of those surveyed state that they could have a partner from the rival team, and 77 makes it clear that being from the other great team in the capital does not influence their friendships.

On the other hand, the study reveals that 90 percent of Madrid fans would have a beer with an Atlético player, with Álvaro Morata, Griezmann or Koke being their favourites, a percentage that drops to 77 in the case of colchoneros, who choose Karim Benzema, Luka Modric and Thibaut Courtois as their favorites for this action.

Respondents have also given their opinion about who they would have a
‘pachanga’ and 7 out of 10 white fans chose Griezmann, Morata or Koke again, and on the rojiblanca side, 5 out of 10
they would also prefer Benzema, Courtois or Modric.

To underpin this study, ‘Mahou’ will once again promote a new edition of ‘La Barra del Encuentro’ to demonstrate that matches between rival hobbies are possible, an initiative that will be accompanied by a series of experiences in which to meet opponents in different key points of the city where they can find their common points with the rival.
