0-0: Andorra can't beat Malta

Andorra and Malta, the two teams that close the classification of group 1 of League D of the Nations League, faced each other this Saturday and dreamed of achieving their first victory in this edition of the tournament, but they did not go 0-0 in a match disputed in the Principat.

At the end of the break Alex Martínez had one of the clearest chances for Andorra, a shot that went over the crossbar. It was the team led by Koldo Álvarez that had the best opportunities, despite the fact that possession of the ball was returned to Malta.

But this Saturday neither Andorran nor Maltese managed to unbalance the game in their favor at the Communal. In fact, the Pyrenean team has not yet been able to score after three games played in the current Nations League competition. Malta is ranked 186th in the FIFA world rankings and Andorra, 137th.

The Faroe Islands team continues to lead this group, which this Saturday did not win at home to Latvia (1-1) but maintains a 4-point advantage over said Baltic team, second in the table. Faroe Islands have 7 points, Latvia 3, while Malta and Andorra have added 2 so far.
