Zidane rejoins Real Madrid training

Madrid, Feb 2 (EFE) .- Coach Zinedine Zidane rejoined Real Madrid training this Tuesday, after ending his period of isolation for having suffered from covid-19, on the same day that it was learned that Florentino Pérez, club president, was also positive.

The French coach had tested positive on January 22 and had not directed Real Madrid games and training since.

Zidane was already in the team's first weekly session today, in which he began to prepare for Saturday's league game against Huesca, the first of the six games he will play this February.

The technician arranged, to begin with, muscle activation exercises and series of short races and resistance. Then, according to the club, the players practiced possession and carried out tactical work. Finally, they played a game on a small pitch.

Sergio Ramos, Lucas Vázquez, Rodrygo and Fede Valverde worked inside the facilities and on the pitch, while Daniel Carvajal exercised inside.

Nacho remains at his home as a result of his positive for covid-19.

Real Madrid will face Huesca, Getafe, Valencia, Valladolid and Real Sociedad in the league this month and Atalanta in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League.

After visiting Huesca this Saturday, only three days later the whites will receive Getafe in the postponed match of the first day. EFE
