The Spanish brand Youin, specialized in sustainable mobility products, has launched its new ‘You-Ride Dakar’ model, a folding electric bicycle for all terrains with an integrated and removable battery in the frame and a range of up to 45 kilometres.
This ‘fat bike’ model originates from the United States, has a 360 Wh battery (36 V – 10 AH), 20-inch wooden wheels with 20×4.0 tires and an aluminum alloy frame. In addition, the maximum load is 130 kilos and it has five modes of pedal assistance.
This ebike is a bike designed for adventure, with an LCD screen, front and rear lights, 7-speed Shimano gears, disc brakes on both wheels, lockable front suspension and rear air shock absorber to be able to go on any terrain, be it sand. , snow or asphalt. It also has a sport-type saddle with gel that gives it greater comfort.
In recent years, the rise of endurance races in harsh conditions such as the Titan Desert, known as the ‘Mountain Bike Dakar’, and other competitions that take place in the middle of mud or sand have increased sales of the ‘fat bikes’.
According to the latest report from Market Insights Reports, between 2021 to 2026, the fat bike market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6 percent.
The Youin You-Ride Dakar electric bicycle is available in two colors, black-gray and black-red, with a recommended price of 1,299 euros. Soon, Youin will launch a new model of ‘fat bikes’ in three colors.
