“You think about the League and that one day it falls”

comes the Europa League Sánchez Pizjuán and the team are excited about their favorite competition, but although their minds are on Dinamo Zagreb, the possibility of fighting for the League with Real Madrid does not leave the players’ thoughts, even if they do not say so.

One of the prominent men, goalkeeper Yassine Bono, acknowledges that this pinch is in the stomach of professionals. “It’s not that they don’t like to talk about it… The dressing room goes with the mentality of going further. Fourth, third, second… With that mentality one day you say ‘I want to go out first’. We have to be ambitious and compete in our own way to face each game in the best way so that you can open that door and say why not? Last year you get to the end with four or five games to go and say, ‘wow, why not?’ One day it falls. I don’t know when, but the mentality is that. It could be this year, who knows?”, explained the goalkeeper born in Montreal but of Moroccan origin.

Bono had an extensive talk on ‘Canal Sur Radio’ in which he touched on various topics, such as the return of the Europa League this Thursday and the excitement it also generates in the locker room: “It’s a special competition and all the players understand it that way. The team is stimulated by this. We are a team that has been growing and we deserve people to respect us and see Sevilla as a strong team, but there are many strong teams”.

The Sevilla goalkeeper also assures that the incorporation of footballers who have been injured helps to improve the team’s competitiveness even though it has not declined. “It is not easy to put together a team and put it back together with casualties everywhere… I am convinced that the team will grow because it has always been like that. In previous seasons we have gone from less to more. This challenge of arriving with chances stimulates us of win”.

Bono, finally, did not give importance to Barcelona’s supposed interest and recalled that he is “terribly excited at Sevilla”, while he praised Martial, the last signing in January: “It is exciting that we can have that category of footballers in the Seville”.
