Jesus Tecatito Corona landed in Seville, three days later he was summoned for the first time for a derby that ended up being suspended and in which he would debut the next day, when it resumed behind closed doors. In less than a month and a half, the Mexican international has had more than enough experiences to know what is at stake tomorrow in the Sanchez Pizjuan. “It’s a different game. From what I’ve been told, it has nothing to do with the derbies I’ve already played. We’re very excited. I’m looking forward to experiencing a derby at home and playing it. After debuting in the Cup, this has to be different. Because this derby has to be won”, sentenced the former Porto player in statements to AS after returning from Zagreb.
In Croatia, Sevilla suffered and the injuries again reduced Lopetegui’s men. Corona is a newcomer, but despite this he dares to give his opinion of what is happening: “Despite everything that is happening to us, the atmosphere in the locker room is very positive. I think the injury issue is bad luck , but you have to react in any way. We’re going to go to the derby with whoever we have and let no one have any doubts, we’re going to fight for a win for our fans, even though the game against Dinamo was very demanding”.
And it is that everything that surrounded the derby butler is still very present no matter how much the professionals of Seville prefer not to make any direct statement about it. The Baetic celebration did not like it but it is preferred to tiptoe through the matter. And Corona is the best example: “EThe dressing room is full and with the mentality that you have to win the derby for all the aspects that surround it”.
