Paula Badosa could not overcome a very demanding first round in the WTA 500 in Eastbourne, where she fell to the second favorite of the tournament, Elina Svitolina, in the tiebreaker of the third set: 6-4, 1-6 and 7-6 (1) in 2:17.
The Spanish came back with a 5-0 run in the first set when she lost 4-1, but was disconnected in the second, with some problems of adaptation to the grass surface and to the wind.
