Bad news for lovers of haute cuisine and admirers of Dabiz Muñoz: The chef announced this Friday that he is halting the construction of his luxury restaurant in La Finca, in which he has already invested more than 12 million euros in addition to many months of work. A tremendous setback that he has not given too many details about. His wife, Cristina Pedrochewas the first to send a message of encouragement and support to the chef: “Sometimes you have to make difficult but necessary decisions”he has written on social networks. “We’re in this together too. I love you.”
Shortly after, the presenter, who is reaping great success with her first book, Thanks to Fear, added: “Today is being a regular day, so I’m going to try to change the attitude with a little sun.”
It was last February when the businessman and his wife excitedly announced the location of the new DiverXo restaurant. It would be La Finca, the exclusive urbanization in Madrid in which they began to live shortly before the birth of their daughter Laia and in which they share a neighborhood with businessmen and elite athletes, such as Cristiano Ronaldo. The cancellation of the project has been completely unexpected: “As you know, we had been working on the new DiverXO for a long time with unlimited doses of enthusiasm and investing an enormous amount of effort and resources. Today I wanted to share with you that after carefully thinking about it I have decided not to go ahead with the project that we had announced, a difficult but necessary decision,” wrote the Best Chef in the World.
He has not indicated the reasons that led him to make this decision but he has slipped some details that mark important clues: “And the new DiverXo has to be iconic, unique, groundbreaking, dreamlike, transgressive and without ties, creatively free and without limits, and only in this way can it exist”.
This new business setback is just one more stone in the road because the renowned Madrid native has revealed that he will continue working to fulfill his dream: “From today we are already working on new options that make my dream come true, and although I know that it is a difficult dream I have the confidence that we will achieve it. Now more than ever, the best is yet to come, we have not yet shown our best version!”
