Vidal-Quadras reappears after his terrible attack and talks about his “physical and emotional” conditions

Alejo Vidal-Quadras, former president of the Catalan PP and co-founder of Vox, has reappeared in a shocking two and a half minute video. He appears visibly affected by the “effects of the terrorist attack” that he suffered in November. He has spoken of his “both physical and emotional” conditions two months and a few weeks after the terrible shot in the face that he suffered in the Salamanca neighborhood of Madrid, in broad daylight.

The politician had planned to participate this Wednesday afternoon in a Neos event, a platform chaired by former Minister of the Interior Jaime Mayor Oreja and which, “from Christian foundations, aims to show the appropriate course in the face of relativism and the destruction of the social order that they deal with.” to prevail today”, according to the organization, in Spain. The event took place in the Mutua Madrileña auditorium and hosted a series of conferences on self-determination.

In the video, Vidal-Quadras talks about his current situation: “Unfortunately, the effects of the terrorist attack that I suffered on November 9 do not allow me, due to my physical and mental conditions, to accompany you in person this afternoon”.

And adds: “But I did not want to waste this opportunity to thank the countless messages of friendship, affection, and support that I have received since the attack took place.. I know that everything that has been said to me and that you have told me in these messages is the result of your generosity and not of my merits, but I also thank you from the bottom of my heart. “They have been very comforting to me.”

The former vice president of the European Parliament also ended the video with a reflection, because, according to him, “Spain is going through a very difficult moment in its history, where the very existence of the nation is in danger.”

Four individuals were arrested after the attack. The investigation continues. Vidal-Quadras himself, from the hospital, related the attack to the Iranian regime due to his relations with the opposition to the Government of Tehran.
