Mallorca coach Vicente Moreno has admitted after the 1-1 draw against Leganes at Son Moix that his team “has not been comfortable or right” against a direct rival in the fight for salvation.
“It was not our best game at all levels, nor have we been fine with the ball. We received the goal when I had the feeling that everything was much calmer, more controlled, and that there would be no option for a draw. Although after the goal (by Óscar Rodríguez), the feeling was that if someone had to score it was them and not us, ”Moreno said.
The Mallorcan coach responded with a “I don't think” when asked if Mallorca was afraid of winning: “Fear of winning I don't think, only that we weren't right. We had talked about the importance of avoiding fouls near our area, and although the one that came in was from afar, we did not know how to handle that situation. ”
Moreno also admitted that the draw against Leganés makes things very difficult for his team, considering that he has two starts against rivals as powerful as Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.
“You don't have to put a blindfold on. We knew that if we did not win today everything becomes very difficult. This tie forces us to win all the games that are not at home (against Celta, Levante and Granada) and try to get some point out, we have no other, “said Vicente Moreno
