MADRID, 31 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Valladolid confirmed their improvement and presented their candidacy to fight for direct promotion to LaLiga Santander after beating Eibar 2-0 at José Zorrilla this Sunday, a result that allows Almería to escape in the first place of LaLiga SmartBank, in a corresponding match to the thirteenth day of the championship.
The gunsmith team was planted in the blanquivioleta fiefdom ready to follow the Almeria trail and extend their good moment of form after three consecutive victories, but they did not have the necessary aim to take the three points against an opponent who improved in the second half to win the triumph.
Those of Gaizka Garitano enjoyed good options in the first 45 minutes to have put themselves ahead on the scoreboard and ended up paying it in the second act where those of Pacheta were superior. Yamiq made it 1-0 from a corner kick and Toni Villa sentenced a victory that puts Pucela, who has gone seven games without losing, fourth with 22 points, two from Eibar and six from Almería.
On the other hand, Oviedo got hooked on this first ‘candidate train’ thanks to their agonizing 2-1 victory at Carlos Tartiere against Málaga, who still haven’t won at home. Borja Bastón was the main protagonist with the two local goals, the second in the 91st minute, which broke the tie that Genaro Rodríguez had achieved and gave a victory to Ziganda’s team, who in the final minutes was close to José Alberto’s.
In addition, Girona achieved a commendable victory at Fernando Torres where they beat Fuenlabrada 1-2 when they were with nine players on the field in a tense final stretch of shock. The local team was left first with ten by the expulsion of Dago in 75, which the visitors took advantage of to make it 0-1 shortly after through Kebe (minute 81).
From there, the madness increased. Samu Saiz and Jairo went to the changing rooms early, the last after the penalty that allowed Pedro León to tie in the 89th minute. However, Stuani appeared savior in the 96th minute to sentence and give Michel’s men three important points, still very far from the ‘playoff’.
Finally, in La Romareda, Zaragoza could not abandon their draw streak and added the ninth consecutive against Mirandés in a match where the goals came very early and at the end. Thus, the Maño team lost the three points that it defended from minute 1 (Nano Mesa) in 96 (Brugué).
