Valencia denies “flatly” that it is looking for a new sports director

MADRID, 28 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Valencia has denied this Thursday that it is looking for a new sports director for next season, thus showing its support for Miguel Ángel Corona to “face the transfer market next summer and continue consolidating the current project.”

“Valencia flatly denies that it is looking for a new sports director for next season. The club does not value making a change in the sports management,” said the entity ‘che’ through a statement published on its website.

“Contrary to what a media outlet affirmed this Thursday, there is total confidence in the current sports structure and its director of football, Miguel Ángel Corona, to face the transfer market next summer and continue consolidating the current project”, the club said.

In addition, Valencia affirms that the information is “false” and is “unverified” and considers that the journalist who has published it has the “sole objective of generating a bad atmosphere and trying to destabilize”.

“After the final of the Copa del Rey, where Valencia came very close to winning a title three years later, the team now has five very important games ahead of them until the end of LaLiga and they face them with the aim of adding the number of possible points to be as high as possible in the classification”, he adds.

“The season is not over yet and this badge forces everyone to continue working and fighting until the end as long as there are mathematical options to achieve the objectives. Once the season is over, Valencia CF will face the transfer market with the current sports management with the goal of continuing to build a competitive team that its fans feel proud of,” the statement concluded.
