MADRID, 27 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
FC Union Berlin announced this Friday the dismissal of Danish coach Bo Svensson and his coaching staff “after an exhaustive analysis of the season so far” in its men’s team, which currently occupies twelfth place in the Bundesliga with 17 points and was eliminated from the DFB-Pokal in the round of 32.
“After a thorough analysis of the season so far, we are convinced that a significant change is necessary to reverse the trend. Therefore, we have decided not to continue collaborating with Bo Svensson, Babak Keyhanfar, Kristoffer Wichmann and Tijan Njie,” said Horst Heldt, general director of Men’s Soccer at the Union.
“We want to thank Bo Svensson and his team for the work they have done and we wish them all the best for the future,” Heldt added in the same press release. Thus, the Berlin entity indicated that “in the coming days” a replacement for Svensson will be decided to lead the Union’s commitments from January 2, 2025.
