Under Armour presenta las Flow Velociti Wind 2

MADRID, 28 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The American multinational of design and sports equipment Under Armor (UA) presents the new generation of Flow Velociti Wind 2 running shoes, designed for speed over long distances, great reactivity, energy return and grip in the traction of the sole.

With the help of UA athletes and brand ambassadors, the Innovation Lab in Baltimore and the Human Performance Center in Portland, Under Armor has developed the best footwear based on insider knowledge and lessons learned from years of experience and research.

Under Armor released the disruptive HOVR Machina, featuring the innovative Pebax propulsion plate, and the first version of the UA Flow, which made the heavy rubber outsole unnecessary. Expanding on Under Armor’s Flow running shoe collection, which debuted in early 2021 with the UA Flow Velociti Wind and its all-in-one cushioning system, the UA Flow Velociti Wind 2 is now here for runners to step into the next speed.

The Flow Velociti Wind 2 has the same revolutionary, ultra-responsive and long-lasting compound in its midsole as its predecessor. The UA Flow cushioning platform eliminates the need for rubber in the outsole, dramatically reducing weight and giving runners a light, effortless feeling of speed with the feeling of having the wind at their back.

WHAT IS UA FLOW?

UA Flow revolutionizes the design of the traditional running shoe thanks to its lightweight construction and completely without the rubber sole, eliminating the 55-85 grams of weight that it usually adds to a traditional running shoe.

UA Flow is the lightest midsole technology in UA’s current running lineup, bringing a technology to the running category in terms of lightweight cushioning and durability. The foam has a natural sticky traction, so you don’t need the bulky outer layers of the past.

“UA Flow is a revolutionary cushioning technology that expands our capabilities in providing runners with the best experience and product solutions. The Flow Velociti Wind 2 provides speed without sacrifice – keeping runners protected, giving them an amazing energy return, and putting the wind back into every stride, every run, every day,” said Douglas Smiley, Senior Global Director, Performance Running Product Line, Under Armour.

The new shoes feature the revolutionary UA Warp upper, a cutting-edge engineering solution that adapts to the athlete’s foot throughout their stride. It has fastening bands that act as safety belts for the foot, located precisely in the areas that biomechanics consider most useful for the runner.

The bands tighten when you need to and slacken when you don’t, eliminating any kind of sticking and pinching points found on traditional uppers made from continuous materials.

The UA Warp upper thus moves in unison with the foot, supporting it with each step to help promote performance, improving the efficiency of the foot-shoe interface with each stride. UA Warp keeps the foot in place on top of the UA Flow midsole, without hindering the natural movement of the foot.

New to the UA Flow Velociti Wind 2 shoe is the Tatami Stitch Heel: the tatami stitch on the heel is a premium solution that provides more consistent containment around the heel, with a molded EVA heel counter that offers greater comfort, resilience and durability. cushioning for high mileage performance.

The UA Flow Velociti Wind 2 launches globally in spring 2022, and will be available at UA.com, UA Brand Houses, premium running specialty retailers and select sporting goods retailers.
