In addition, UEFA has also decided to maintain the price of category 4 (70 euros) and category 3 (180 euros) tickets for the next three men’s finals of the ‘Champions’ in 2022, 2023 and 2024, maintaining the current prices since 2020. “By limiting these prices for at least three seasons for these matches, UEFA wants to send a strong signal to fans and ensure that access is affordable for everyone,” said the body, which will assume “all costs” related with this initiative.

Ceferin stressed that the fans “are the soul of this sport” and that this measure is “a good way to recognize the difficulties they have experienced in the last two years” and how, despite everything, “they have managed to support their teams and live their passion even when they are far from the stadiums”.

“Fans play an integral role in the development of football, and we must ensure that loyal traveling fans can attend historic moments for their beloved teams at affordable prices,” he said.
