UEFA expels Tottenham!

Tottenham Hotspur has been eliminated from the Europa Conference League after the UEFA said on Monday that the English club must lose its last group match against Rennes following the cancellation of the match due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in the English club.

Initially, the game was scheduled to be played on December 9, but 13 cases between players and staff caused the Spurs they couldn’t play. A 3-0 loss will be recorded, which means that the Spurs finish third in the group and are left out of the competition’s play-offs, in which they faced the Rapid Wien.
