UD Sanse and Rayo Majadahonda opened the year at the
RFEF Primera league match this Sunday with a solidarity action that allowed the collection of more than 1,200 kilos of food as part of the ‘Boxing Day’ initiative promoted by these modest Madrid soccer clubs.
From 5:00 p.m., the fans of both teams were contributing more than 700 kilos of food at the Matapiñonera stadium and also products for families with small children in favor of the Brotherhood of the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios de San Sebastián de los Reyes .
This idea arose through one of the sponsors of both teams, the Pedestrian Division of the automatic door company Assa Abloy Entrance Systems Spain, and the more than 700 kilos have been delivered to the Brotherhood of the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios, which has of a soup kitchen in San Sebastián de los Reyes and provides essential products and food to needy families in the Madrid town.
For its part, the Assa Abloy Entrance Systems Pedestrian Division held a parallel event last Saturday, in which two of its employees ran the distance that separates the Rayo Majadahonda training facilities from the Matapiñonera stadium.
In total, those almost 37 kilometers were transformed by the automatic door company into 500 kilos of food, following the #KMSxALIMENTOS solidarity initiative of the Drinkingrunners group of runners.
In total, this ‘Boxing Day’ he has managed to collect and deliver more than 1,200 kilos of food and basic necessities that will help those people who are having the worst of it.
