UCAM has a direct duel against Breogán for the ‘playoffs’

MADRID, 23 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

UCAM Murcia won (91-72) this Wednesday over Río Breogán in their postponed match of matchday 20 of the Endesa League, an outstanding victory for the Murcians to strengthen their position in the ‘Top 8’ and cut off the Galician wings by hunt down that noble zone.

Sito Alonso’s team (13-10) was lethal in front of their fans despite starting lower. It was a competitive first quarter, but in the second the UCAM artillery took off (24-15). Taylor and McFadden unleashed the Murcian gale, infallible again in the second half to end the match.

The rent of the UCAM passed the score in the third quarter. When ‘Breo’ seemed to be left with only accepting defeat, Dzanan Musa woke up and, with a distant triple over Kalinoski’s buzzer, he went to the last quarter alive (69-57). The American arrived on time, as did Musa, but the UCAM cut off the rival reaction.

From 73-66, Taylor (28 points) recalled the path to those from Sitio, in the blink of an eye again with the game under control. Webb (25 and 10 rebounds) rounded off his game to also win the basketball-average against the Galicians, now two wins from eighth place after conceding their third loss in a row.
