TV3: Bartomeu will resign if Messi says publicly that he is the problem

Today a new line has been written in the intense soap opera that the club has been experiencing since the announcement of Leo Messi, through burofax, of his desire to terminate his contract and leave the Catalan entity this summer.

And it is that the president of Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, aware that part of the problem may be his person, has decided to take a step forward, to the point that, according to TV3, he would be willing to resign immediately. However, the still top leader Blaugrana would have put a condition to leave the presidential chair: Leo Messi has to go out publicly and confirm that the president is the main problem to not continue in the club. In case Leo reaffirms himself publicly in this regard, Bartomeu would resign, but not his board, which would continue to lead the entity until the elections, with an interim president, appointed by the remaining members of the board.

Bartomeu would be willing to resign as long as the continuity of Leo Messi in the project was guaranteed, something that seems very complicated today because, according to sources in his environment, the problem goes much further than a president, but has roots much deeper, as he no longer felt a participant in the new coach's project.

In any case, Bartomeu now passes the ball to Leo Messi, who has to pronounce on this new ordeal launched by the Blaugrana leader.
