MADRID, 27 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish striker Toni Martínez has become a new player for Deportivo Alavés on Tuesday, a team he joined on a transfer from Porto, and with which he has signed until June 2028, according to the Babazorro club’s website.

Toni Martinez, 28, came through Valencia’s youth system, where he stood out in their youth team and played in the UEFA Youth League, which led to West Ham United taking notice of him. He made his debut with the first team with the ‘Hummers’.

After making the jump to English football, the young striker returned to Spain to join Real Valladolid in the Second Division, a category in which he continued to grow after passing through Rayo Majadahonda and CD Lugo. In 2019 he headed to Portugal, and after two seasons at Famalicão, where he played 40 games and scored 14 goals, he signed for Porto.

With the Dragons, the Murcian has played more than 100 games in five seasons, winning two Leagues, two Cups, two Super Cups and a League Cup. Last season, Martínez played 24 games in all competitions, in which he scored 4 goals, all of them in the league. Now, the Murcian striker arrives at Mendizorrotza to debut in LaLiga EA Sports.
