This was the long-awaited reappearance of Rodolfo Sancho for work and away from the drama over his son in Thailand

Rodolfo Sancho has returned to work after the murder of his son Edwin Arrieta in Thailand, whose sentence will be announced on August 29. The actor of The Ministry of Time has meanwhile presented his new film, A walk through the Borneby Nick Igea, which premieres this Friday, July 26.

The presentation took place this Thursday at the Atlàntida Film Fest in Palma de Mallorca. In front of Palma Cathedral, Daniel Sancho’s father posed smiling with his fellow cast members.

In the film he plays a film director who is turned away by the industry and the actor has reflected on his own situation. Asked about a possible parallel with his personal life, Sancho Gracia’s son responded in The world: “There may be. There is always a personal part in everything you do”.

Xenia Tostado’s boyfriend also took stock of his professional career in the last year, marked by the murder committed by his son in the Asian country. “Honestly” he does not know how what happened to his son will affect him. In this sense, he admitted: “I think it should not affect him. In all this time I had to say no to a series, but it was due to a time problem. The important thing is that they offered me the job. But it is difficult to know.”

The actor, who participated in the documentary about his son’s case on HBO to pay for his defense and everything necessary in Thailand, also lamented the interest that his personal life is now generating: “I really can’t connect one thing with the other. Especially for someone like me who has not been very active in premieres and has never sold an exclusive. Everyone is free and I’m not going to mess with anyone. But there are actors who make a business out of their personal lives. That’s not my case.“, he acknowledged after participating in the documentary, in which he talked about his personal life for money.

In this last year, the protagonist of Mrs premiered the series of Zorro on TVE, in which he played the role of the villain. The series was recorded before the murder committed by his son in August of last year. The defense of Sancho Gracia’s grandson, during the trial held between April and May, worked to prove that the murder was not premeditated in order to avoid the death penalty or life imprisonment. The goal of Daniel’s defense is for him to be able to return to Spain in a few years to finish his future sentence away from Thailand. We will know the sentence, as we have mentioned, on August 29.

These months of torment have also been marked by personal battles between the parents of the accused, Rodolfo Sancho and Silvia Bronchalo. The latter even went so far as to file a complaint against her ex for continued harassment and insults. A couple of weeks ago it was revealed that the complaint had been dismissed. The judge in Alcobendas did not pursue it further as she saw no criminal acts.
