It was in the parish of the Virgen Madre de Marbella in front of 600 guests among whom were Carmen Franco, Lola Flores with her daughter Lolita and Pitita Ridruejo, among others.

The children arrived early: Caritina (1976) and Carla (1983). Passionate about sports, Carlos was enjoying the Paris Olympic Games. He didn’t miss a single day, even staying up all night to cheer on the Spanish teams in the competitions. Five months in prison

Goyanes was the subject of a scandal in 1990 when Judge Baltasar Garzón ordered him to be imprisoned for alleged drug trafficking as part of Operation Mago. He always maintained his innocence and after five months behind bars, he collected the 30 million euros bail that the judge imposed to regain his freedom: “I am very happy to be able to be with my family again. I only regret having had to spend five months to prove that it was totally unfair that I was in prison. Very soon it will be proven that I am totally innocent,” he said at the time. His wife, always at his side, confessed that she had organised a collection among friends and family to get this amount, stratospheric for the time, since half of his fortune (more than 40 million pesetas) had been blocked in the process.
